I have an electric bike that weighs 50 lbs w/o battery. Is there an option to carry on a roof rack?

Expert Reply:
The highest weight capacity for a roof-mount bike rack is 45lbs, which applies to the Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Rack for Fat Bikes # RRRBC050-FB that you were looking at. If there is anything else that you can remove from the bike to reduce the weight to 45lbs then you will be set to use this bike rack. It fits tires up to 5" wide so you won't have to worry if your bike has fat tires. Keyed-alike locks are built-in to reduce the risk of theft of your bike and bike rack.
The only other option is to use a hitch-mount bike rack like the Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # SA4025F which can hold bikes weighing up to 60lbs each. I attached a couple demonstration videos for you to check out.
