Fit of Curt Class III 13440 Hitch on 2004 Toyota Sequoia With Rusted Factory Hitch

Question:
Did I read that correct, that Curt hitch 13440 will NOT fit on a vehicle with a factory installed hitch? This is on a 2004 Toyota Sequoia Limited with factory installed hitch that I am trying to replace because of rust. I have already removed my factory hitch and have ordered this model. Will any other brands work?

The Curt Class III hitch, part # 13440 won't fit with the factory hitch in place, but once removed Curt tells me it would fit just fine.
This being said, I'd urge you to closely inspect the surface of the vehicle frame where the hitch mounts to make sure it's still sound. If the frame members are corroded and no longer structurally sound I would not recommend towing with a hitch or using one for any hitch mounted accessories.
I've linked to an install video that you might find helpful.
