Question:

I just bought a new boat 2022 Monterey 235 and have a 2018 Jeep JL 4 door with a Class II hitch. The max towing capacity states 3500 lbs. The boat is 3650 lbs dry weight. The initial tow from store to house is 150 miles. After that only 3 miles from house to boat ramp. I keep the boat on a boat lift so I wont be doing much towing after the first tow. What can I do to solve the weight issue? Thanks,

I can't recommend exceeding the manufactures listed towing capacity and there is no way to increase this. That said, in order to make for a more pleasant towing experience you may want to consider upgrading. The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98856 is a good start, it has a class III rating with higher capacity but you will still be limited by the vehicle. If you don't have wiring then you'll also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118786. Finally, you'll need something to help with sag and for this I recommend the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs part # AL60829.
