Question:

Hi there, I have a Hyundai palisade 2020 and as per the factory manual, it has a capacity to town 5000lbs and hitch weight maximum of 350lbs. I was wondering what would be the new capacities of towing and hitch weight after installing a hitch weight distribution. Many thansk for you support.

Since the owners manual does not give any specifications for ratings for weight distribution then your towing capacity will remain the same. Be sure to follow all the manufacturer guidelines in the owners manual when towing.

I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET with your capacities. This hitch is capable of working on trailers with 200-600lbs of tongue weight and up to 6,000lbs total trailer weight.

You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the ball of this hitch. And I always recommend using the Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 to reduce the noise the hitch makes when turning as well as extend the life of your components.
