U-Bolts and Installation of B&W Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches
Updated 04/22/2021 | Published 04/21/2021 >
Question:
Installed the B and W rail kit today. Two of the u bolts threaded ends were so short that I had to leave off the flat washers to get them threaded on. On one of those ends the nut will only thread on a little over half way before hitting the torque of 40 lbs. Are there u bolts with longer threads? Other suggestions?

Expert Reply:
Per the installation instructions, the dimensions are to be 1/2" X 8 1/4" X 4 1/2" for the U-Bolts. We do stock individual U-bolts, but not that meet the criteria of 4-1/2" width. Hardware is to be kited with product from the manufacturer, if you think you have been provided incorrect hardware please contact our Customer Service line to provide us the opportunity to correct.
