Installing a Timbren Silent Ride System
Updated 04/22/2021 | Published 04/20/2021 >
Question:
Have not installed a trailer suspension previously so wondering does the Timbren simply bolt on to the trailer frame or is it welded or is ut both? I thought I had seen a bracket for the Timbren which bolted up to the trailer chassis and allowed you to move the units back and forth to achieve the optimum balance point. Unfortunately I am unable to locate this product again but is it necessary if you can simply bolt up the units themselves?

The Timbren Silent Ride # TSR14KT01 can actually be installed by welding it on or bolting it on. You could do both welding and bolt it on, but that is not really necessary. I am not sure of the bracket to move it around on the frame, but they do have a bracket on the side with pre-drilled holes to bolt it on to said frame. I spoke to Timbren and they did provide some documents to assist with the placement as well. They did mention it is for a lighter rated system, but would install the same way.
