I have a solution for you, but the # AABRKT-35-5005 hardware kit you purchased is not compatible with a 2001 Ford F-150; this kit is designed for Aries bull bars that are designed to fit on 2010-2018 Ram 1500 trucks. If you've got an Aries Bull Bar for your 2001 Ford F-150 like the # AA35-3004 you'll need the Replacement Mounting Hardware Kit for Aries Bull Bar with Removable Skid Plate # AABRKT-35-3004. These brackets are compatible with all Aries bull bars that fit on the 2001 Ford F-150.
