Which breakaway kits work best with a tri axle?

If all 3 of the trailer axles have brakes you will need one with enough amperage to be able to apply the trailer brakes on full for at least 15 minutes. The Tekonsha system, # 50-85-313 will work with 1 to 3 axles. I have included a link to a video review for you. Another option is # 2028. I have also included a link to an FAQ article on installing a breakaway kit.

Can you explain why the item numbers you mentioned above are both 5ah batteries but only one works for 4 axle trailers? It's my understanding that a 5ah battery will operate only 2 axle brakes for 15 minutes, which tells me that on a 4 axle trailer that time may be cut in half.
