I have another option for you, but the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # TLD1109 you were looking at is only confirmed to fit select Ram Pickups and will not fit your 2000 Ford Excursion.
Instead I recommend the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - Dual 2" Receivers # TLF1006 which is confirmed to fit your Excursion and has a 1700lb tongue weight rating and 17000lb trailer weight rating making it a great option for some heavy duty towing. Keep in mind your Excursion may not have the same capacities, so you will need to check the owner's manual to determine your towing capacity and use the lower rating between the vehicle and trailer hitch.
