I have another option for you, but the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # TLD1109 you were looking at is only confirmed to fit select Ram Pickups and will not fit your 2000 Ford Excursion.

Instead I recommend the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - Dual 2" Receivers # TLF1006 which is confirmed to fit your Excursion and has a 1700lb tongue weight rating and 17000lb trailer weight rating making it a great option for some heavy duty towing.
