Troubleshooting Superchips Flashpaq F5 Tuner 3845
Question:
Did the software updates required for the flashpaq, plugged in the tuner, clicked tune, turned key to on Position engine not running ed vehicle type 2001 dodge durango 4.7L and the unit will not read Ecu application data. Could this be caused by a previous owner mapping the Ecu with another device and not restoring the factory map settings?

First off, make sure your tuner is compatible with your vehicle. The Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner - GM - Gas/Diesel # SU2845 that you referenced is not confirmed to fit your 2001 Dodge Durango 4.7 but if you have compatible versions such as # SU4845 or # SU3845 then you will be fine.
If you purchased the tuner used and not new, then it could still be 'married' to the previous vehicle if they did not delete the tune and go back to factory tune before selling to you. I attached a link to the instructions which shows several diagnostic steps that you can go through according to what the tuner is showing on its screen. If you are still having issues then you can give me some more information regarding what the tuner is showing.
