Question:

C25vr. Subaru says not to use weight distribution on the Ascent. On your site it shows weight limits for use with weight distribution for the c25vr. Can I use it on my Ascent with weight distribution?

That's a good question, and the short answer is yes, you can use a weight distribution hitch with the Curt hitch that fits your 2021 Subaru Ascent:

- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C25VR

I took a look at the owner's manual for the 2021 Subaru Ascent, and it is referring to the factory hitch in regards to not using weight distribution. The reason is, that hitch is not rated for use with a weight distribution system, but the Curt # C25VR rated for use, which is why you can use it for that.

The other thing you will need in order to tow is a trailer wiring harness if you don't have one, with the correct fit for your '21 Ascent being the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118790.
