Question:
what size is the hole for the locking pin for part # e98841?
asked by: Cory H
Expert Reply:
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98841 has a pin hole to accept a 5/8" pin. The Length of the pin needs to be at least 2-1/2" between the lock and collar or bend in the pin.
I recommend the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Lock Set # 3794DAT. This set will give you locking pins for both 1/2" and 5/8" receiver pins. A trailer coupler lock so that your trailer cannot be removed from your vehicle when connected. And lastly a storage lock for the trailer to deter thieves from taking your trailer when being stored or disconnected from your vehicle.
