Review of Master Lock Hitch Locks 3794DAT

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Set. This towing kit includes three locks for ultimate security, so we're just going to go over each lock individually. This one right here is the universal-fit coupler lock. This is designed to deter trailer theft by fitting over the coupler preventing hookup. It's designed for use when your trailer's unattended or not connected to a vehicle or hitch ball. It's constructed with a laminated riveted steel when it comes to the frame for strength and durability, and in this center section here that fits inside the coupler is finned steel. It will not warp and it will not bend. The way this unit operates is you have your dust cover here.

So, you open that up, take one of your keys, place it in, move it to the unlock position. This piece comes out. This would fit inside the coupler just like a hitch ball. Once you have that inside your coupler socket area, you push this in as far as it'll go, and it has little indentions here so that way when the key moves to the lock position, it's going to grab onto one of these grips there and really lock it into place. So, you place that in as far as it'll go and then you move it to the lock position, place back on the dust cap, and that's all there is to it.

This is going to stay locked and secured to the socket until you remove it. Very nice durable design, very strong, very secure.Next, we have the couple latch lock. This keep others from releasing your trailer once it's hooked up. Stainless steel construction. It's durable and rustproof, and it's fully adjustable.

So, you can, again, take one of the keys, place it in, move it to a lock position, and the pin comes out. This has one, two, three, four, five, six different positions, which fits pretty much any coupler latch out there on the market. So, you place this through your latching mechanism, place the lock on, get it to where it's all the way as tight as it'll go, and then simply just move it to a locked position, and now your couple latch is locked. If you really want to increase security, use this in conjunction with this when your trailer is unattended. And then we have our trailer hitch receiver lock. This is used in place of a standard pin and clip.

This prevent theft of your ball mount or hitch-mount accessories, such as a cargo carrier or bike rack. The unit features a stainless steel swivel head, rotates 360 degrees for easy access at any time. The included pins will work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitch receivers. So, we have the 1/2" diameter pin and the 5/8" diameter pin. These are chrome-plated steel, very durable and rust and corrosion-resistant. Very easy to operate and control. Move it to an unlock position. It pops right off. Place this through your hitch, through your accessory out the other side, place the lock on, snaps into place. That's all there is to it. This one operates the same way, and it will accept the same lock body as the 5/8" diameter pin.All the locks have integrated keyhole covers to keep out dirt and moisture. The keys are keyed alike, so any of the keys will work on any of the locks with this kit, and it comes with a convenient storage bag so you can keep all your gear protected. It does have a hard top here, so it's not going to get crushed or anything. Place all your gear in here and keep it organized and accessible for whenever you need it.Now, the coupler lock, this unit here, fits most 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" ball couplers including straight lip, rolled lip, and surge brake and hydraulic coupler. The pin diameter of the latch lock is 1/4". Pin diameter of the receiver locks, we have the 1/2" diameter pin and the 5/8" diameter pin. The kit's covered with a limited lifetime warranty. We'll go ahead and put it all in here. You can see how it stows out of the way when it's not being used. Keeps it nice and organized. That's all there is to it. That's going to do it for today's look at the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Lock Set.
