Replacement Brake Controller for Primus IQ That Developed Internal Short

Published 04/01/2021

Question:

Yes the controller does sound like it has an internal problem that is not repairable and would be time to replace the entire thing. The Draw Tite iCommand part # 5535 would be a great option to replace with as it's a proportional brake controller that's a little more advanced and is very reliable. It would plug right into the same connector as well.

The P3 part # 90195 is the king of brake controller so if you were thinking about that one I'd highly recommend it. It's the most advanced option based on it's display that uses full words and uses the best inertia sensor out there.
