The Reese Weight Distribution System, # RP66020, that you referenced has a tongue weight range of 200 lbs to 600 lbs. As long as the tongue weight of your towing setup falls within that range, this system will work well for you. The tongue weight of your towing setup will include the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any cargo in your 2008 Nissan Pathfinder loaded behind the rear axle.

This system does not require any drilling to install and can be used with a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball if that is what your trailer requires. I have attached the installation instructions for you to look at. The hitch ball and shank are not included with this system and will need to be purchased separately. For a shank, you can use part # RP54970. For a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball, part # 19286. The 2 inch hitch ball, use part # A-90.

Another item that you may be interested in with this weight distribution system is sway control. If you experience trailer swaying when you tow your trailer, this would be a beneficial addition. There are two types of sway controls that you can use with this system. The first and most economical option is a friction sway bar like part # 83660. You will have to bolt a ball plate to your trailer frame to install this unit. Friction sway control reduces trailer sway after it has already begun.

The second option is dual-cam sway control, # RP26002. This is the most effective form of sway control on the market. The cams keep the trailer inline with the tow vehicle to prevent sway before it begins. Drilling is required to install the brackets for this system as well.
