Why Does Roadmaster Base Plate for 2012 Fiat 500 Fit All Submodels but Blue Ox Does Not
Updated 03/29/2021 | Published 03/25/2021 >
Question:
I notices that for a 2012 Fiat 500 There are different blue ox base plates for 500 pop model, 500 sport model and the 500 abarth model. However the Roadmaster has only one base plate for all the 500 models! I am currently planning to May be keep my 2012 sport for at least another year before upgrading to say a newer 500 abarth. Can you explain please. Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
Roadmaster was able to come up with an efficient design for their base plate kit part # 522013-1A which allows it to fit the various models while Blue Ox took a more "expensive" option and decided to come up with different fits for each version.
