Question:
Id like to raise the ride height on my 96 Jayco 1207 DD to do two things: 1 raise the camper to make the on my hitch to be less 2 put a larger wheel/tire on it to decrease the wear on my bearings and tires Ive seen the Dexter kits and am wondering if they raise it high enough to put a bigger wheel/tire on there?

The best way to raise the ride height on your 1996 Jayco 1207DD is using an over-under kit.
These kits move the leaf spring from on underneath your axle to above the axle which lifts the trailer by the diameter of the axle plus the height of the leaf spring stack.
if your axle is 2-3/8" diameter you will need the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00, and if your axle is 3" diameter you will need the # K71-385-00 instead.
You will be able to use larger wheels and tires with the extra clearance, but to determine which will fit correctly I will need to know the bolt pattern of your current wheels, and the current tires size on your trailer.
If you can provide this information I would be happy to make a recommendation for you.
I included videos for the products mentioned and a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure your bolt pattern for you to take a look at.
