Question:
I have a 09 dodge 3500 long box with overload springs...when I have my rails positioned so king pin is centered over axel, the passenger side bracket cannot be installed because tail pipe clamp is welded to frame and no room for side plate. Any sggestions? Thanks.

I am sorry that you are having a problem installing the fifth wheel rails on your 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 long bed. I spoke to my contact at Curt and found that some heavy duty dodge pickups have a tailpipe mount located in an alternate position and these vehicles require a fifth wheel bracket that is bent at an angle to avoid this bracket. The Curt Semi-Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Dodge Ram 1500 with Overload Springs, item # C16303, is the part that you will need to complete your installation and avoid the tailpipe mount. I am assured this item will work with your 3500 series pickup.
