Question:
Hi, I need to mount the Trailer Valet on the side of my boats trailer. The tongue is 3inch tall while the sides of the trailer are 4.5inch tall. My current jack wont mount to the side of the trailer, so Im worried the Trailer Valet wont either. Please advise.

Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover, part # STC-V211, uses a heavy-duty mounting bracket that can accommodate frame members up to 2-3/4 inches wide x 6 inches tall. Although your trailer frame is within this range, the I-beam construction prevents mounting the jack to the main side frame members.
To use the Trailer Valet you will have to mount it on the 3-inch tall tongue section forward of the A-portion of your trailer. Since the Trailer Valet swivels up out of the way when not in use, this is the only suitable location to mount it. It is not clear from the photo how much space is available forward of the A. If you have enough room to mount the jack there, this location will provide the most convenient position for cranking and steering the jack and trailer.
If there is not enough room on the trailer tongue to mount the Trailer Valet as described, then you may want to consider a dolly, such as the manual Rack'em Trailer Dolly, part # RA20. This sturdy unit has 13 x 4-inch tires and a 1-7/8 hitch ball, and offers the same 500-pound tongue weight capacity as the Trailer Valet. An advantage of this type of trailer mover is that you do not need to stoop over to crank and steer it, as you do with the Trailer Valet.
