Updated 03/11/2021 | Published 03/08/2021

Question:

I would like to convert my 2017 VanLeigh tandem axle fifth wheel 7K Lippert axle to disc brakes. Do you offer a complete kit including brake lines with a Dexter actuator and Kodiak Dacroment 13 hubs? Thank you for your help. Dennis

We have a few different kits that will work great for your trailer. The most basic kit that we have is # K2HR712. This kit is just going to be raw metal, so it has no protection against rust or corrosion. I recommend the next step up and go with # K2HR712E. This kit has an e-coating on it so that it is protected from rust or corrosion.

We do not have a kit that contains all of the components for a disc brake set up. This allows people to customize their brake kit to match their trailer.

The other components that you will need are the Dexter DX Series Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator # K71-651. The bearing kit that will fit the disc brakes mentioned above is the # DBRKHW7. You will need brake lines # HS496-252 to get all of these components connected and working properly.
