For your 2001 Honda CRV, the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1528-3 is compatible with the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Item # e44ZR.

To complete your flat tow set up I recommend the following items:

The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit Item # RM-15267. This kit allows the light functions from the motor home to be transfered to the factory taillights on the vehicle. The diodes protect the factory wiring from back feed if there is ever a short.

The Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional Item # HM39524 is a portable system that is easy to set up and is light enough and small enough it can be easily stored when not in use. Being portable it can be used with any vehicle.

I have provided a link to a video on the diode wiring to help walk you through the instillation. The instillation is on a 2006 however; the instillation is the same. I do recommend testing the wires behind the taillights to make sure they are the same color.
