Question:

I purchased the Crossbar-style Base Plate Kit 1528-1 and the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2inch Ball - 5,000 lbs. I was under the impression that they were compatible. But they dont match up. Is there a product that will make these work together? I am not going to tow this very often or for much more than 500 miles per year, so didnt want to spend a fortune.

I can definitely understand not wanting to spend a fortune but the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms # C19745 is not compatible with the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit 1528-1 and there is not an adapter available for this.

What that means is you do have to use a crossbar-style tow bar from Roadmaster with this base plate kit, the most budget-friendly of which is the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar # RM-020.

This is similar to the Curt in that it is a coupler style tow bar, but is compatible with your base plates.
