How to Unplug a 7-Way Harness from the 7-Way on a Ford Super Duty

Question:

How do I unlock the back section of a stock Ford 7 Pin trailer connector so I can get the old one out of the bracket Thanks

Do you see the white plastic piece in the shape of a U in the picture that you sent me? You will need to pull that piece out away from the harness to release it from the rest of the 7-way. Check out the video I attached and skip to the 3:25 mark to see how it unlocks and locks.

Having trouble disconnecting my 7 pin connector for my trailer wiring harness on my 24 Colorado. From this picture you sent someone else it looks like I just need to lift up the gray clip and then pull it out. I have done this and it seems like it is a no go. Is it a hard pull? Just do not want to break anything. Thanks for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated.

@GalenS These types of connectors (which are found on vehicle wiring) can be pretty frustrating to work with but the trick is to make sure the gray piece is pulled out and then wiggle the base of the connector as much as you can as you pull out on it and it will come out. It can be pretty challenging but if you can resist just yanking on the harness you'll be good. Sometimes using a flat head screwdriver to pry around the base can help too.
