Question:
I bought a Redarc RED44FR brake controller to install on a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The installation video for the ETBC7 glosses over the procedure for getting the brake control line into the cab. It seems pretty impossible. Can you send me any more details? I have already installed the ETBC7 up to that point, so I hope I dont have to get the bluetooth controller.

According to our install crew, the wiring was ran into the passenger cab using an existing grommet in the firewall. If you open the hood, on the driver's side of the firewall you'll see a rubber grommet where the main harness enters the passenger cabin from the engine compartment. Use a utility or an exacto knife to make a small slit in the grommet, and you'll be able to pass the wire through. Before slitting the grommet, be sure to look at the area around the grommet on the other side of the firewall, so you won't inadvertently cut into anything you shouldn't. The easiest way to run the wire through is to tape it to a piece of stiff wire, like a straightened out coat hanger and use that to feed the wire through.
