Question:

We are going to flat tow a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek behind a 2021 Airstream Atlas using some tow bars which you have recommended. Our concern is battery drain on the Subaru as we have to leave the ignition on to unlock the wheel. Will the second pin maintain or charge the Subaru battery?

While Roadmaster does not mention that you need a battery charge line to maintain the battery level of your 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, you can add the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 to keep the battery charged. This will use the center pin of the 6-way connector you are planning on using, and connect directly to your vehicles battery.

If your RV does not have a battery charge line you will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75.
