Question:

Hi there! I own a 2005 Mazda 3S 5-door, and wish to purchase the Curt hitch for it code 11386. I would love to complete this purchase online tonight and get the free shipping!, but I am having trouble finding out which ball I will want to purchase with this hitch. I see that the hitch comes with a ball mount, but Im not seeing the shank size 7/8, 1?, so I can not a ball. Also, I know that some but not all hitches come with a hitch cover. Does this one? Ill gladly complete my purchase online once I get this information. Thank you.

All hitches with a 1-1/4 inch opening are going to take a ball mount that will take a hitch ball with a 3/4 inch shank. You can use the Hitch Ball with 1-7/8 inch Diameter Ball and Short Shank, 2000 lbs GTW, part # 19256, or the Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter Ball and Short Shank, 3,500 lbs GTW, part # 19258. The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver with Draw bar, part # 11386, does not come with a hitch cover. If you wanted a plain black plug, I recommend the Rubber Tube Cover 1-1/4 inch, part # 2211.
