Replacement Cushioned Pin Box for 2018 Big Horn 3970RD Fifth Wheel

Question:

I have a 2018 Big horn 3970RD. I want to replace the pin box. It has a GVWR of 16K. Is the Lippert 1621HD 18K the right pin box replacement?

I don't have any way to look up which pin box your 2018 Big Horn 3970RD left the factory with, there just isn't a database anywhere that would tell us which pin box a given 5th wheel was equipped with.

Typically a pin box would have an ID plate or sticker on it somewhere that identifies the pin box, if you can reply with that information, I'd be happy to recommend a replacement pin box for you.

Another way to determine which pin box will work is to measure the spacing of the bolt holes as shown in the provided diagram. The dimensions in red are the dimensions/bolt hole spacing for the Lippert 1621/1621HD which is one of the more common pin box styles out there, but the dimensions for other pin boxes are shown in the table below the diagram. If you're unsure, just provide me with the dimensions shown on the diagram for your existing pin box.
