Tapping Into Running Light Circuit for Deck Lights

Question:
If Im running new lights on a flat deck car hauler with all new wire. The 7 way plug I have is an rv type. I dont have brakes installed yet so all I have are the turn, brake light, and running lights. What Is the best way to splice the lights for the running lights?

Using the running light circuit from the trailer wiring of your vehicle would work to power the running lights. You could use butt connectors # 224775 to do this. You'd have to cut the running light circuit ran to the 7-way and then use the one end of it to reconnect the circuit and then on the other end you could run the new light circuits.
