Question:

hello, trying to decide whether the Yakima skybox nx 16 will fit my factory rails. or would the better decision be the skybox 14. I know you can adjust the boxes, and move them forward. So I was thinking if I could just move the 16 box forward more, so the back hatch will clear it. i am trying to get the biggest box on the beast as i can. Thank you.

The Yakima SkyBox NX 16 # Y95AV requires having 47" from the middle of the front crossbar to the rear hatch line, so as long as you've got that much space then the SkyBox NX 16 will work just fine for you. There is not a 14 cu/ft version of the SkyBox, but the Yakima RocketBox 14 # Y07192 is only 74" long and a little bit shorter, so it only requires 45" of clearance from the center of the front crossbar to the rear hatch.

I've linked a review video we did of the RocketBox 14 being installed on a 2016 Acura MDX that can help you get a better idea, but I do believe you would be just fine going up to the SkyBox NX 16 # Y95AV in this case because of the clearance shown in the video.
