Recommended Roof Rack For 2016 Toyota Tacoma Compatible With Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier

Question:

I have a pair of Inno square bars on my 2016 Tacoma. My kids bought a Thule Hulavator for me for Christmas. The bar mount wont fit over the foot that holds the bar to the roof. I am looking at purchasing a new set of crossbars. I have the required clearance with my current crossbars but due to the way the Inno bars go through the feet instead of on top I am having an issue. Thanks for your help.

The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs # TH898 will work with most square, round, aero, or factory crossbars but since you are having a problem getting it to install correctly on your Inno crossbars on your 2016 Toyota Tacoma I recommend the Thule Roof Rack System if your truck has a bare roof and is a double cab.

The Thule Roof Rack System uses:

53" Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars in Black # TH711420 or Silver # TH711400
Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710501
Fit Kit # TH145107

This would be the best option as the Hullavator # TH898 will fit in the T channels on the crossbars offering the easiest installation.

If your truck has the factory raised rails then I recommend the Yakima Roof Rack System which uses:

60" Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426
TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y33TR
