Looking for hitch for 2017 Ford fusion energi. the video indicates that only the Drawtight Item # 24897 will allow the underpanel to be trimmed and retained the Curt C56351 requires removal , but your expert Chris R contardicts this with a sketch for trimming the Curt etrailer.com/questions-343205.html Can you clarify this discrepency for me?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12091 will not allow for the underbody panel to be reinstalled on a 2017 Ford Fusion. The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24897 will allow for the underbody panel to be reinstalled once trimmed. For Energi models, it is not recommend that the underbody panel be removed so you'll want to use the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver as it can be reinstalled once trimmed.
