Question:

I am looking to put helper springs on the rear on my 2020 chevy 1500. I am wondering what you recommend as your best option , or spring that will work the best. Thanks

For your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, I recommend going with a jounce-style spring. This is very low maintenance, whereas air suspension requires you to maintain correct psi levels etc. This setup will also keep the factory ride quality since they do not engage with an empty load.

Depending on the weight of your load or trailer, you could go with either the SumoSprings Solo # SS65FR or the SumoSprings # SS45FR. The # SS65FR has a 1,000lb maximum tongue weight, whereas the # SS45FR has a 1,500lb maximum tongue weight.

If you are normally pulling a lighter load, I would go with the # SS65FR. If you are normally pulling a heavy load, such as a 7,000lb trailer, I would go with the # SS45FR.

Both of these spring helpers compress according to the weight of your load. These products offer an easy installation requiring no drilling or welding. Hardware and instructions are included.
