Question:
Hello I have a 2018 Ford F-250 coupled with a lance 825 truck camper that hangs approximately 23 inches past the back of truck. I would like to install a hitch extender with a dual hitch extender to be able to install a bike rack with 5 bikes and a cargo carrier to carry a small generator and 5 gallons of gas. I also want to put misc items in cargo carrier. Can you recommend a strong enough hitch extender and dual hitch extension that is long and strong enough to accomplish what I want to do. Thanks

Expert Reply:
For your 2018 Ford F-250 coupled with a lance 825 truck camper and wanting to carry 5 bikes and a cargo carrier is going to depend on a few factors. Most cargo carriers have a weight capacity of 500lbs. 5 bike bike racks range in weight capacity from 100lbs to 225lbs. So depending on what receiver and size you have and the truck, the tongue weight of the extension can range from 300lbs to 750lbs without weight distribution. I recommend using a TorkLift SuperTruss Item # TLE1548. This extension is for 2" hitches and gives you a 600lb max tongue weight if used with the Super Hitch Original Or Magnum. That being said it also requires the hitch if not already installed which I recommend the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Item # TLF1008-30. This hitch gives you the highest weight capacity.
Since both items cannot be carried on the extension I recommend adding a Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Item # 65076 for your generator.
