Question:
I am interested in buying # CU47FR Will this accept other size balls? If so what is the required shank diameter and shank length? Does it use a nylon lock nut that will need to be replaced?
asked by: Graydon
Expert Reply:
For the Curt Securelatch adjustable ball mounts like part # CU47FR we have replacement balls like the part # CU67FR for a 2 inch ball or the part # CU77FR for the other popular size of 2-5/16 inch. The included ball is a 2 inch ball.
The shank diameter is 1-1/4 inch but we recommend you only use one of the Curt balls for the Securelatch mentioned.
