Regarding your SportRack Vista XL # SR7018 roof top cargo box. On further correspondence we discussed that not only do you need a key and lock cylinder core, but you also need the housing and latch parts.
I spoke with the manufacturer and they only have replacement parts for keys and lock cores, but NOT the remaining mechanism.
The remaining solution would be a hasp lock using the Paneloc # H125-203E hasp with the Paneloc # H110-204U Staple, and a Master Lock # 131D padlock.
