Is the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter Compatible with a Pullrite SuperGlide

Question:

Have additional questions: 1) What's the pin spacing on the adapter where the hitch mounts? 2) What's the spacing between the rails where the hitch mounts? 3) Whats the height and width of the rails? Trying to figure out if my hitch will attach to the Demco Adapter, before I order the adapter. Thanks

I called Demco to check the compatibility between the 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ford OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 25,000 lbs, part # DM6175, and a Pullrite SuperGlide.

They have had no reports of these two not being compatible, so there are only two things you need to make sure of so that this adapter can be used:

1. Make sure the Pullrite SuperGlide is industry-standard, meaning the measurements are at the standard for 5th hitches and not something very unique. This can be either 20-1/2" centers and 29" centers, which are the industry standards.

2. Make sure that your puck system is the factory one. This adapter has been designed specifically for factory puck systems, so there is no guarantee it will work with an aftermarket-installed puck system.

Other than those two stipulations, this adapter is perfect for mounting your existing 5th wheel hitch. I've linked to a video installation for your reference.

The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter, part # DM6175, has the following measurements: The pin hole fits a 1/2" diameter pin and requires a 3" long pin. You can probably use your existing pin for this. The spacing of the center of the back pin hole to the center of the front pin hole is 22". The height of the rails is 2".
