Congratulations on the new truck!

To flat tow your 2020 Ram 1500 with the Eco-Diesel engine I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-522203-5 which will only require removing the tow hooks if your Ram has them, or if it does not have them you will only need to trim the plastic covering the tow hook holes.

For a compatible tow bar I highly recommend the Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-576 which has a weight capacity of 8000lbs which will be enough to safely flat tow your Ram, and the non-binding feature will allow you to disconnect the tow bar easily even if you are parked on un-even ground. The included safety cables will keep you from having to purchase them separately.

Moving on to wiring I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which uses diodes to protect your trucks factory wiring from feedback and damage.

For a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to the easy installation and removal when you are are ready to flat tow, or are done flat towing. The Patriot # BLU37TR will apply the brakes to your truck with the same intensity that you apply the brakes in your Motorhome. You will need to install the 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 to power the Patriot.

Lastly you will more than likely need a high-low adapter to level the tow bar to your RV. I included a helpful article on measuring for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

It is always a good idea to check the flat towing section of your owner's manual for any restrictions, or required steps to make your vehicle ready to be flat towed.
