Recommended Gooseneck Hitch for 2006 Ram 2500 Laramie with 6-1/2 Foot Bed

Question:

I want to tow a goose neck horse trailer, but my truck doesnt have the gooseneck hitch yet. Please gooseneck hitch ions for my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie with 6 bed. Thanks.

To add a gooseneck hitch to your 2006 Ram 2500 Laramie with the 6-1/2 Foot bed I recommend using the Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # C60682. This gooseneck hitch installs under the bed so you'll have a clear truck bed when the ball is removed and it installs without any required drilling, so it's an easy to add option.

If you don't already have a 7 way plug in the truck bed for easy connection to your trailer, I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # HM42137. This will install into the side of the truck bed and provide you with a 7 way plug for your gooseneck so you don't have to try to stretch the trailer plug all the way to the bumper.
