Question:
Can the length of one of the cables be shortened? The cable from my camper is already too long.

You could cut and resplice the # TLW6532 7-way wiring harness extension to shorten it, but I'd personally be leery about that as the splices could possibly be vulnerable to the elements and corrosion. The best practice would be to get a harness in the correct length so you don't need to cut it up. TorkLift offers the extensions in the following lengths:
• 24 inch, part # TLW6024
• 28 inch, part # TLW6028
• 32 inch, part # TLW6032
• 36 inch, part # TLW6036
• 42 inch, part # TLW6042
• 48 inch, part # TLW6048
• 60 inch, part # TLW6060
