Hopkins EASYLIFT #74211 is listed for 2001 Tundra. Does this involve any drilling? Or, could you send the 2001 Tundra installation instructions?

You are correct that the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 is a confirmed fit on your 2001 Toyota Tundra. You will need to drill two holes to complete the installation, one in the truck bed and one in the bottom of the tailgate which you can see in the included video.
The instructions included with the EasyLift # 74211 will include the required template to mark the correct locations to drill the two holes.
