Carrying Electric Bikes on My RV Bumper

Question:

Can you tell me if a fat tire ebike can fit on the Swagman 4 Bike Carrier? I would only carrier 2 bikes, one being a normal mountain bike and the other a RadRover Step thru 4 tires, 60#. https://www.etrailer.com/RV-and-Camper-Bike-Racks/Swagman/S80600.html

While the Swagman 4 Bumper Mounted Bike Rack # S80600 has a total capacity of 120 lbs, it also has a per bike capacity of 30lbs. That means the individual mounting points for each bike is not rated for bikes heavier than 30lbs.

Thankfully, bike rack technology has improved in recent years and we have more options for you! I recommend using a bumper hitch receiver like the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # E-100. This fits around 4" square bumpers and has a 350 tongue weight capacity.

For a bike rack, an RV-approved electric bike rack like the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR is a great option. It also has adjustable clamps that will work with your RadRover Step Thru bike.
