Question:

I am interested in the Thule rear door bike rack for our 2021 Promaster 1500. My question is - is the height at which the bikes sit, adjustable? I am 53 a senior citizen and dont have a lot of upper arm strength.

The Thule # TH302013 is a confirmed fit for your 2021 Ram ProMaster 1500. This rack attaches to one rear door and allows both doors to be opened for van access.

To your question, the bike ride height is somewhat adjustable for three positions. I have included a clip out of the owner's manual for you. I have also attached a photo of this rack on the back of a van. On Thule's web site a user commented, "I'm quite happy with the way the rack holds the bike in place. I am six feet tall and can barely reach the top arms that hold the top of the frame so that is something to consider. My wife is 5'6" and has no chance of reaching them without a stool but it can be done."

Also of note at page 10 of the Owner's Manual is the procedure for GLUING the rack to your vehicle using "Sika 252" glue.

Another solution, which would mount the bikes much lower, and more easily accessible, would be to install a hitch to your van, like the Draw-Tite # 75882, and then using a typical hitch-mount bike rack like the Thule # TH9058 which accommodates two bikes

Another bike rack to consider is the Yakima # Y02465 "FullSwing" rack, which on release will swing the entire rack away from the back of your van.
