Haul 2 Kayaks on Pioneer Platform Roof Rack

Question:

Hello, I have a 2018 Wrangler JLU with a Rhino rack pioneer tray mounted with Maximus 3 mount. I have 2 Hobie mirage kayaks that are about 30 inches wide each. Are there any assisted kayak carriers that would allow me to mount both of these on my tray set up?

I do have a solution for you to mount two kayaks, however a Hullavator must be mounted on a crossbar that extends 4 - 8 inches beyond the crossbar foot at the roof's edge. It will not mount to the Pioneer Platform. Even if you decided to mount crossbars over the platform sticking out 4" to 8" on each side, they would still not clear those ladders on the side of your vehicle.

It appears that your roof is less than 60" wide so tying down two 30" wide kayaks side-by-side on the Pioneer Platform is not going to work. You would need to install Rhino-Rack # RR43120B Accessory Bars for Pioneer Platforms, then to those attach Rhino-Rack # S512 folding Kayak Carriers. You will need two sets of these to mount both of your kayaks. I realize this is not the lift-assisted option you wanted, but this is something that will work to get two kayaks up there.
