Hose Clamp Fit and Compatibility on 3.25 x 1 Inch Roof Rack Crossbars

What size hose clamps would I need if I want to mount something to a 3.25inch x 1inch cross bar?

Since it sounds like your crossbars are oblong, the hose clamp would need to follow the shape, so a 2-3/4 inch diameter hose clamp would work and would be the smallest option based on the circumference needed to follow the bar.
I don't recommend using hose clamps to secure items as there are many other connectors to secure carriers to your crossbars. For instance the Universal MightyMounts for Yakima Roof Mounted Accessories # Y03590 is a better fit if you need a connection. These are designed for Yakima accessories but may work with others.
