Question:

Do 2 adjustable cross bars come with the rack? Also, will they support the weight of a 100 lb. canoe? Thanks.

The Yakima OffGrid # Y07139-09 does have a capacity of 165-lbs, so putting a 100-lbs kayak on it would be ok. However, the Yakima OffGrid Roof Rack # Y07139-09 does not come with the roof rack crossbars included, so you would already need to have a roof rack or factory crossbars already installed.

If you don't already have a roof rack system on your 1999 Jeep Cherokee there are a number of different options available depending on what style of roof you've got and whether there are side rails present. I've listed some of the options based off what roof style you've got that would allow you to mount the OffGrid to your roof.

Naked Roof- Yakima Roof Rack with parts # Y00409 and # Y00101

Flush Mounted Rails that run front to back- Inno Roof Rack Kit with parts # INB127, # INTR, # INTR103

These are some good pocketbook friendly choices that are available that come with round bars that are compatible with the OffGrid, but if you're looking for something a bit different just let me know what type of roof you've got and I can help you locate something else that would work.
