Question:
I own a 2019 Ram 2500 4 x 4 crew cab pickup with a shortbed and ramboxes. I am looking at several fifth wheels, and need to know if I am better off using a slider or a turning point pin box? I have seen people on the Internet using both systems. From your experience which is the best way to go with the rambox? Obviously I don’t have Dodge’s factory puck system installed because they will not install it from the factory on pickups with the rambox. Thanks

In my experience I find that the rotating pin boxes are an easier to use system, and allow for more clearance between the side rails of the bed and the trailer when turning. Due to those reasons I recommend a rotating pin box.
For your 2019 Ram 2500 Short bed With Rambox you will need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit # RP56009-53 which allows you to use any Fifth Wheel Hitch that is made for industry standard rails. I included an installation video on a Ram 2500 for you to take a look at.
For a fifth wheel hitch I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 due to its dual locking jaws which offer a strong grip on the king pin to makes for a safe and secure connection to your trailer. The Reese # RP30047 is also made to fit industry standard rails like the # RP56009-53. I included a review video for you to take a look at.
If you need to add a 7-Way to the bed of your truck for your new trailer I recommend Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector # C56070.
I included a helpful article that goes over some more fifth wheel hitch information.
