Question:
My Husky Jack won’t work in hot weather or in sun that gets the Jack hot. I put a wet towel over it 5 minutes and it will work. Is there a temperature switch on this Jack? It is an older model 15 years old. Should I just replace it?

Jack like the discontinued Husky Brute Electric Trailer Jack does not have a temp. switch in them and I have never heard of this happening before.
The only thing I can think of is that there is a wire that is close to coming loose and when the jack expands slightly from the heat it no longer makes contact.
I hate to say replace something that works most of the time but if you inspect it and do not see anything loose internally it sounds like it is on it's way out.
If this is the case the Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack part # UF38-944014 will make a good replacement.
