I want to replace my atwood on demand water heater and want to know if this would be the right replacement?

It is possible this Furrion unit will work as a replacement for your Atwood OD-5001 but it depends on the cut out space you have, as well as door size. The Atwood had different door sizes available, but from what I can tell (the Atwood water heater has long been discontinued) it measured 12" tall x 12-1/2" wide x 14-1/2" deep.

The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR68SR you asked about measures 12-5/8" tall x 12-13/16" wide x 19-3/16" deep so it would require quite a bit more depth. It also uses an 18-1/8" tall x 18-1/8" wide access door, but if you have the room for it then the heater would work.

The other Furrion RV Tankless Water Heaters also have the same measurements, with the only difference being the size of the door, which is 16-1/8" tall x 18-1/8" wide for the Furrion # FR48SR or 16-1/8" tall x 16-1/8" wide for the Furrion # FR98SR.
