Question:

Hi, We have a 25 foot class c motor coach with a two inch hitch. Our coach has a slide out the back so we need a two bike tilt away rack that is tough enough to hold up. We would like to tilt with bikes on so not sure if we should use a hang or platform rack. What would you suggest we buy? Thanks and have a good day.

For your 25ft class c motor home I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4"/2" Hitches - Frame Mount Item # HR1000Z. This rack has the tilt away feature. The only thing I would be concerned about is the height of the handlebars in the tilt position if you are wanting to keep the bikes on the rack with the slide room out. To provide more clearance I recommend the Patriot Hitches Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter - 2" Hitches - 11" Rise/Drop - 7K Item # PH54FR. This hitch adapter provides 11" of adjustability for height restrictions. Keep in mind the back of an RV sways more than a vehicle and even though this bike rack is designed for that movement, adding an adapter is going to change how much the bike rack moves while traveling and is not ideal.
