Question:

I have a 2006 dodge 2500 6 1/2 foot bed and need a 5th wheel hitch the problem I run into is my gooseneck is not a turn over or hide a ball. I will be hauling various different fifth wheels what is the best hitch in my case. I had a shop tell me that I couldn’t use one with under the bed rails because the gooseneck plate under the bed is welded int the way to the frame. So would above the bed rails work? Or this their a hitch with a plate that will connect to my gooseneck ball that has a 6” off set or adjustable up to 6” so I don’t hit cab while turning thanks need a minimum of 20k ton capacity

We have a great solution for your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Demco Recon hitch adapter part # DM8550045-5W. This attaches to the gooseneck ball you have in the bed of your truck currently and provides you with a great 21k rated fifth wheel hitch.
